I am Dr. Oyinloye Olaitan Daniel, a passionate academic and researcher specializing in Food Science, Human Nutrition, and Food Microbiology. My journey in academia has been driven by a strong commitment to improving food quality, safety, and public health through research and education. I currently serve as a Lecturer in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Federal Polytechnic Ede, where I teach, mentor students, and contribute to impactful research, particularly in the areas of diabetes and obesity management.

My Growth and Achievements
- 2000-2004
I successfully obtained my O’level certificate in 2000 as a science student. I then proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, where I studied Food Science and Technology, obtaining a National Diploma Certificate in 2004.
- 2003-2005
During my studies, I worked as SIWES student at Tolman, Ijagbo-Offa (2003), and did an IT at 7up Bottling Company, Ilorin Plant (2004), and Mr. Biggs (subsidiary of UAC Foods), Ilorin branch (2005).
- 2006-2011
In 2006, I proceeded to Federal University of Technology, Minna, for Direct Entry to study Food Science and Nutrition, graduating with a Second Class Upper Division in 2010. I served as a Youth Corper in Gombe State in 2011.
- 2013-2014
I then pursued a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, graduating in 2013. I worked with Boulos Foods and Beverages, Ibadan, from 2013 to 2014, rising to the post of Production Manager from CIP Operator.
- 2015-2017
I began my academic career in October 2015 as a Lecturer III in the Nutrition and Dietetic Department of Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State. In 2017
- 2019
I pursued a second Master’s degree in Food Microbiology at Redeemer’s University Ede, finishing in 2019 with a PhD grade.
- 2020-2026
I proceeded to a PhD program in 2022 and bagged my PhD in February 2026.
- Today
Currently, I’m searching for a postdoctoral fellowship.
